LionThe Lion Ruler is a 1994 American cartoon epic musical film, made by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It's the 32nd Disney cartoon feature film. The Lion Ruler was directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff, produced by Don Hahn, and has a screenplay acknowledged to Irene Mecchi, Jonathan Roberts, and Linda Woolverton. Disney, and Peter Schneider while promoting Oliver & Company in European countries. Thomas Disch composed a film treatment, and Woolverton developed the first scripts while George Scribner was authorized on as director, being later joined up with by Allers. Development started in 1991 concurrently with Pocahontas, which finished up attracting almost all of Disney's top animators. Time after the personnel traveled to Hell's Gate National Playground in Kenya to research on the film's setting and family pets, Scribner left development disagreeing with the decision to turn the film into a musical and was changed by Minkoff. When Hahn joined the job, he was dissatisfied with the script and the storyplot was quickly rewritten. Nearly 20 minutes of animation sequences were produced at Disney-MGM Studios in Florida. Computer computer animation was also used in several scenes, most notably in the wildebeest stampede sequence.The Lion Ruler was released on June 15, 1994, to a confident reaction from critics, who praised the film because of its music, storyline, and animation; it completed its theatrical run as the highest-grossing release of 1994 and the next highest-grossing film ever. The Lion King garnered two Academy Honours for its success in music and the Golden World Award for Best FILM - Musical or Comedy.
