LionThe Lion Ruler is a 1994 North american cartoon epic musical film, produced by Walt Disney Feature Computer animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It's the 32nd Disney cartoon feature film. The storyplot occurs in a kingdom of lions in Africa and was influenced by William Shakespeare's Hamlet. The film was produced throughout a period known as the Disney Renaissance. The Lion Ruler was aimed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff, produced by Don Hahn, and has a screenplay acknowledged to Irene Mecchi, Jonathan Roberts, and Linda Woolverton. Its original sounds were compiled by composer Elton John and lyricist Tim Rice, and original ratings were written by Hans Zimmer. The film features an ensemble tone cast that includes Matthew Broderick, Adam Earl Jones, Jeremy Irons, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Moira Kelly, Nathan Lane, Ernie Sabella, Rowan Atkinson, Robert Guillaume, Madge Sinclair, Whoopi Goldberg, Cheech Marin, and Jim Cummings.The Lion King tells the storyplot of Simba, a young lion who's to succeed his father, Mufasa, as Ruler of the Delight Lands; however, after Simba's uncle Scar murders Mufasa, Simba is manipulated into thinking he was responsible and flees into exile. Upon maturation living with two wastrels, Simba is given some valuable point of view from his years as a child good friend, Nala, and his shaman, Rafiki, before time for challenge Scar to end his tyranny and take his put in place the Group of Life as the rightful Ruler.Development of The Lion King started in 1988 throughout a meeting between Jeffrey Katzenberg, Roy E. Disney, and Peter Schneider while promoting Oliver & Company in European countries. Thomas Disch had written a film treatment, and Woolverton developed the first scripts while George Scribner was agreed upon on as director, being later joined by Allers. Creation commenced in 1991 concurrently with Pocahontas, which finished up attracting almost all of Disney's top animators. A while after the personnel traveled to Hell's Gate National Park in Kenya to research on the film's setting and animals, Scribner left development disagreeing with your choice to turn the film into a musical and was changed by Minkoff. When Hahn signed up with the job, he was dissatisfied with the script and the storyline was promptly rewritten. Practically 20 minutes of computer animation sequences were produced at Disney-MGM Studios in Florida. Computer computer animation was also used in several scenes, especially in the wildebeest stampede sequence.The Lion Ruler premiered on June 15, 1994, to a positive reaction from critics, who praised the film because of its music, storyline, and animation; it done its theatrical run as the highest-grossing release of 1994 and the next highest-grossing film ever. The Lion King garnered two Academy Prizes for its accomplishment in music and the Golden World Honor for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy.
